Can I resell an altered object?
So, I'm trying to start a small beaded jewelry business. I was at a store a couple days ago and I found a pair of these huge earrings made up of 2 thin metal discs with designs cut into them, the bigger disc connected to the smaller disc only with a small jump ring. I figured that i could keep the smaller discs as earrings and just add a couple beads and then take one of the bigger discs, add beads, and use it as a pendant for a necklace. Well, I bought it, and tried it, and really like how it came out. What I'm worried about is, would I be able to sell them? I'm just worried that it'd be considered reselling the store's product...
You can resell it. Its not illegal to do so. People resell their stuff all the time. Its called e bay. Just do not sell it as an original art creation, so you do not void any copy write issues.
