Is it okay to ask if my gift got there in one piece?
I made a hand painted ceramic gift for a friend who just had a baby. I was worried it may get broken by USPS so I packaged it really well and insured it. I also got delivery confirmation and it arrived on Monday. I have chatted a little with this friend on Facebook between then and now. She hasn't mentioned it. Is it ok to ask if it got there ok? I think maybe she didn't like it and doesn't know what to say. I just want to collect the insurance if it was broken...
USPS stands for United States Postal Service. I guess I thought everyone knew that... seriously
I think you should ask her. I have not received thank you letters and acknowledgments from people. I thought they were just kinda rude, but I later found out that they never got the item or that they got it but did not know who it was from. Something like that could have happened. Even if she did not like it (which I doubt) she probably would have said thank you. Or it could be she is so overwhelmed and tired with the new baby is slipped her mind....sure go ahead and ask.
