Drusy Quartz – Sparkling Crystal Gems & Jewelry
Drusy or druzy is the name commonly given to crystals that form on the inside a mineral cavity such as found inside an amethyst geode or covering an agate. For jewelry-making purposes, drusy is commonly seen in free form, organic shapes because of the intense handwork and labor required to produce fine calibrated cabochons. The fragile crystal layer is so delicate, handling and cutting must be done with extreme care and skill to prevent damage.
