Black and Brown as Wedding Colors.?
I'm not taking about pairing these colors together. But, keeping them seperate.
Am I the only one that thinks chocolate brown (or mocha) is not just another "trend" for wedding colors.
I think it's really classic. Along with black. Black is clearly not morbid if worn correctly.
Does anyone agree that dark colors as wedding colors are not just another trend?
I happen to think they will stick around for years to come.
I personally hate "loud" colors for bridemaid's dresses.
No offense, but not everyone looks good in dusty rose, lavendar, sage green, coral, etc.
I hate seeing pretty bridesmaids wearing a color that does not suit their skin tone or eye color.
Black is so classic, I often wonder why people dislike it so much.
Look at Audrey Hepron in her classic little black dress. No one can say she looks "dated" she looks classic and timeless.
Would people be saying the same thing if she was wearing lavendar or some over "loud" color?
I disagree that there is anything wrong with color. I mean sure black and brown are classic. They are nuetrals so will always be "in". A persons color choice tells alot about them. Casual laid back people normally don't have white on white weddings just like most "Martha" brides as I call them would flip if I sugessted lime green and peacock feathers. Each type is beautiful in its own way.
Brown for summer weddings is a pretty recent trend, especially paired with tiffany/robin's egg blue and pink.
Brown for Fall has been a color of choice for ages and will continue to be so. Its like having grassy greens in summer time.
I think people shouldn't worry about what's the new hot wedding color or what is "dated" and just use colors they love. Colors go in cycles just like fashion trends. Back up ten years and every wedding on the planet wanted to do deep blues with silver because it was the offical "milennium" color scheme. Fast forward about 20 years and what's "so last year" will be all the rage again. I think it's when people get more caught up with trying to out do each other with how unique they are and forget to tailor their weddings to themselves they get into trouble and have those wedding pictures where you just have to say "what the heck was I thinking!"
Weddings have been going on since Adam and Eve...sorry folks but there really isn't any orginal ideas left, just ones that havn't been done in a while.
